BATH TIME 

I always know when bath time's near.

It's water, water that I hear,

Running right into the tub,

Faster than a speeding sub!

A voice calls out, "It's ready, dear."

I pretend I do not hear.

Oh no! Not bath time yet again!

I try to sneak away, but then -

The voice comes back. "The water's hot."

I reply, "I'd rather not."

The voice gets louder. I am caught!

"Now get your clothes off right away,

Or you will not have time to play

Before I wash your hair today."

"Hair?" I say. "It's that time, too?"

"Oh yes, indeed, and when we're through,

You will be the cleanest one.

I guarantee you lots of fun."

Shoes and clothes off, bubbles poured in.

I say, "I guess I just can't win."

I then got put into my bath.

But in the end I have to laugh.

"Bath time's great!" I give a shout.

"Now you just try and get me out!"
